Touch-Base Touchscreen drivers for Windows P/N 142653.

This readme file provides installation advice for installing the
Xycom Touch-Base touch screen software over MS Win95, Win98, WinNT,
Win2K and XP on a Xycom Automation Industrial PC.

A note about modes: The Xycom Touch Controller board can be operated
in PS/2 or Serial communication modes. In general, PS/2 mode is
preferred because the touch controller does not require the use of a
COM port in this mode (When the COM port is used it is hard wired to
COM2 on PC/AT's with a local touch screen). However some Xycom PC's
require use of Serial mode for support of an external touch screen
or due to an older design without multiple PS/2 input support.
Consult the manuals for default operational modes.

Consult the manuals for default operational modes.

Step 1:
 For 35XX, 34XX, 33XX, 3015, 50xx (Not 5017) units, make sure your
system is properly configured with MS Windows and a Xycom Touch
 Controller board P/N 140554-001 or P/N 140554-002. For 36xx & 37xx
units the proper touch controller is already a built-in part of the
TSKAM. Note: 36xx and 37xx units are hard configured to only support
 PS/2 mode.

Step 2:
For units with Touch Controller P/N 140554-TAB, check the Xycom Touch
Controller board and make sure the following settings are in place:

For PS/2 mode on P/N 140554-TAB (default on most systems):
  a) Set all jumpers on the Touch Controller card (P/N 140554) to the
     "B" position.
  b) Refer to the manual for your Xycom Industrial PC. If the
following jumpers exist on the PC's motherboard next to the socket
for the touch controller board. For 35XX units remove any jumpers
that may be in place for J14,J15,J16,J17. For 33XX units, make
sure jumpers JP1 and JP2 are in the 1-2 position. Note: Some Xycom
PC's do not have any jumpers near the touch controller socket and
this step can be ignored in such cases.

For Serial mode on P/N 140554-TAB
  a) Set all jumpers on the Touch Controller card (P/N 140554) to the
     "A" position.
  b) Refer to the manual for your Xycom Industrial PC. If the
following jumpers exist on the PC's motherboard next to the socket
for the touch controller board. For 35XX units, then insert
jumpers for J14,J15,J16,J17. For 33XX units, make sure jumpers JP1
and JP2 are in the 2-3 postion. Note: Some Xycom PC's do not have
any jumpers near the touch controller socket and this step can be
     ignored in such cases.

(Note: The driver is supplied in 3 folders named Disk1, Disk2 and
Disk3. Please copy the files to 2 floppy diskettes.)
  a) If special instructions or configuration utilities are provided
with the drivers (e.g. See Appendix A for 33xx) follow them now.
  b) Insert the diskette for UPDD PS/2 3.08.16P Disk 1 and run
     a:\setup.exe
  c) Accept all default choices and complete the installation, you will
be prompted to enter Disk 2 and Disk 3 as the installation
